Saint Michael’s College seeks applicants for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Applied Micro beginning in fall 2022. The college seeks teacher-scholars who demonstrate passion and effectiveness in undergraduate teaching while being active in a various forms of peer-reviewed scholarship. Core teaching responsibilities include Micro Theory, Micro and Macro Principles, and Econometrics. As the college emphasizes opportunities for undergraduates to conduct research, the ideal candidate will be able to advise and mentor students doing empirical and applied economic analysis. Preference will be given to candidates with a foundation in inequality, demographics, poverty, race/gender discrimination, or income volatility/mobility, and an ability to develop elective courses in these areas.

Required Qualifications:
• PhD (in-hand by Aug 2022 or ABD to be completed within 6 months of appointment).
An offer of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
