Postdoctoral Position in Economics

The College of Business and Economics at Qatar University is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in economics for a project for the Qatar National Science Foundation led by Qatar University in collaboration with Georgia State University and the University of Oslo.

Applicants are required to hold a PhD when the appointment starts. Excellent empirical skills are expected from the successful candidate. Interest in environmental economics and prior experience in running RCTs are desirable but not required characteristics.

The position is formally based in Qatar. Legal requirements to work in Qatar still apply – foreign citizens will apply for a working visa sponsored by Qatar University. The position comes with a competitive salary in international comparison. The position is renewable yearly, conditional on satisfactory performance, and can be extended further based on the availability of funds.
