Economics Chair Job Posting

The Miami Herbert Business School (MHBS) is engaged in an international search for a visionary Chair for its Department of Economics. The Chair will be a distinguished scholar and proven leader with excellent collaboration skills. Reporting directly to the Dean of MHBS, the Chair is responsible for the overall leadership of the Department, articulating and promoting its goals and setting its vision. The Chair will be an advocate for the faculty, while representing and translating goals of the administration to the faculty. The Chair is expected to have a record that warrants appointment at the rank of full professor. The Search Committee seeks a visionary, equitable and inclusive consensus-builder--someone of unquestioned integrity, and one who possesses outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
