The Economics Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor to teach in our undergraduate program. We are especially interested in someone with the experience and excitement to effectively lead a large lecture section of principles or intermediate macro/micro/metrics each semester, along with smaller sections of elective courses that fulfill the economics major. This is a 9-month position over a 5-year term with the possibility of renewal that requires teaching three undergraduate courses per academic semester for a total of six courses during the academic year. Responsibilities begin July 1, 2022. The Department of Economics is within the College of Arts and Sciences. It confers BA, BS, MA and PhD degrees and minors in Entrepreneurship and Politics, Philosophy & Economics. The department currently has a full-time faculty of 35 and an enrollment of about 1,250 undergraduate majors and 75 doctoral students. For more information, see https://econ.unc.edu.
