The Stanford Center on China’s Economy and Institutions (SCCEI), a joint center of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship with a focus on climate change economics and policy in China. The postdoctoral fellow would conduct research to identify the economic sources of contributions to a selected climate change problem and evaluate policy options for confronting the problem.
The ideal candidate must have strong empirical skills and have completed the Ph.D. before August 31, 2022.
This is a two-year postdoctoral position, starting in summer/fall 2022. The selected scholar will join Stanford’s economics research community and will connect with other postdoctoral fellows and faculty. SCCEI’s postdoctoral fellows should expect to be active members of the multidisciplinary community of empirical China researchers at Stanford University.
SCCEI values diversity in backgrounds and perspectives. Stanford University is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants must submit the following materials: cover letter, curriculum vitae, job market paper, and three letters of recommendation. For full consideration, please submit all materials by December 1, 2021. Questions about specifics of the postdoctoral fellowship may be sent to Alexis Medina (amedina5@stanford.edu).
