J – Labor and Demographic Economics
The Department of Economics at San Diego State University invites applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in labor and demographic economics. In particular, we encourage labor economists specializing in (1) the economics of immigration, and/or (2) disparities in labor market or education outcomes by gender, race/ethnicity, sexual identity (LGBTQ+), immigration status, family background, age, or veterans’ status. Candidates with postdoctoral experience or who are advanced assistant professors — and who have a strong record of scholarly publications —are encouraged to apply. The position will begin in August 2022 and the successful candidate must have completed their PhD by August 22, 2022. Salary will be commensurate with experience and the California State University salary schedule.
