The Economics program at the United States Military Academy, West Point welcomes applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant or Advanced Assistant Professor level. An ideal applicant is interested in teaching small classes in a variety of fields (e.g. microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, finance, public, labor, behavioral, development, and international) in a liberal arts environment while pursuing an active applied microeconomics research agenda.

West Point, located in the picturesque Hudson Valley just an hour north of New York City, is a highly ranked liberal arts college whose primary mission is to prepare its graduates to serve as officers in the United States Army. Faculty within the economics program have the potential to partner with the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis, an analytical organization for the U.S. Army that houses rich administrative data related to health, family, education, financial, and career outcomes of soldiers and veterans.

Preliminary interviews will be conducted online during the AEAs. This full-time appointment will start in July 2022 and a Ph.D. must be completed at that time. U.S. citizenship is required.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
