Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Stanford Center on China’s Economy & Institutions (SCCEI), a joint center of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI), offers fellowships to outstanding, new PhDs who have demonstrated ability to generate high-quality, evidence-based, policy-relevant research on critical issues related to significant current economic challenges in China.
The particular economic challenges of focus will be determined by the postdoctoral fellow in collaboration with faculty mentors at SCCEI. The research goal is to identify and analyze the economic sources of the problem(s) at hand and devise effective and practical policy solutions.
This is a two-year postdoctoral position, starting summer/fall 2022. Candidates must have strong empirical skills and have completed the Ph.D. before August 31, 2022. The selected scholar will join Stanford’s economics research community and connect with other postdoctoral fellows and faculty. SCCEI’s postdoctoral fellows should expect to be active members of the multidisciplinary community of empirical China researchers at Stanford.
SCCEI values diversity in backgrounds and perspectives. Stanford is an equal opportunity employer. For full consideration, please submit all materials by January 31, 2022. Questions may be sent to Alexis Medina amedina5@stanford.edu.
