The Department of Economics in the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University (ODU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with primary fields in environmental economics, public finance, or regional economics and a focus on applied econometrics. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue high-quality scholarship and teach courses applied econometrics for undergraduate and graduate classes with applications in public economics, environmental economics, or regional economics using R.

Candidates who are at the level of senior Assistant Professor are encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in economics, or related field, by the position start date. This is a 10-month appointment beginning August 10, 2022. The position includes three years of summer support for well-qualified candidates. Candidates must have teaching experience and demonstrate evidence of research quality and productivity.

Our review of completed applications will begin on November 15, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled. We plan to conduct remote interviews via electronic conferencing to determine a set of finalists for this position.
