The University of Virginia's Department of Economics of the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences invites applications for the newly established James H. and Elizabeth W. Wright Jefferson Scholars Foundation Distinguished Professorship at the rank of Associate or Full Professor (the position is with tenure; the distinguished professorship is a five year renewable term). We are interested in candidates working in labor economics who demonstrate excellence in the application of cutting-edge methods to questions across subfields such as the economics of education, aging, immigration, crime, search models, inequality, race or discrimination. Applicants should be established national and international leaders in the field, with highly influential publications along with an outstanding record of teaching undergraduates and advising Ph.D. students in their research.
