The School of Economic Sciences (SES) at Washington State University (WSU) is seeking an outstanding individual to teach our courses. Applications are invited for a full-time career-track position at the Assistant Professor or Associate level at the Pullman, Washington campus. Applications are invited for a full-time, 9- month tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 16, 2022 (or as negotiated) at the Pullman, Washington campus. The successful applicant is expected to teach economics courses primarily to undergraduate students with some research expectations, which could be focused on teaching pedagogy or any field in economics. The successful candidate will be an outstanding instructor who can attract students to major in economics. Other duties include mentoring, advising students and participating as appropriate in committees, instruction, and other activities of SES and WSU.
Required: Earned Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline at date of hire. Preferred: Demonstrated ability to teach effectively; Evidence of strong training in theory and applicable quantitative methods; Evidence of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and groups of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies.
