The Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a tenure-track, nine-month Assistant Professor position specializing in natural resource economics.
We are seeking an economist who will join our multidisciplinary department in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Example research areas include but are not limited to ecosystem services valuation, impact evaluation of conservation programs, analysis of protected areas, carbon and timber market dynamics, and adaptation of natural systems to climate change and invasive species.
Applicants should be interested in multidisciplinary collaboration, securing extramural funding, and partnering with natural resource agencies. The incumbent will create a vibrant research program, mentor undergraduates, graduates, and trainees, and teach an undergraduate class in forest economics and a graduate course in their area of expertise.
