Full Text of JOE Listing:
RTI International has an opening for a senior economist with interest in food and agricultural in the Center for Applied Economics and Strategy (CAES). CAES has a diverse portfolio of contract and grant-funded research in food and agriculture, environment and natural resources, energy, innovation, and economic development. The Center conducts economic research in food and agriculture for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and other domestic government agencies and foundations.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in economics or other relevant field or a master’s degree and five years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in using one/or more of the following: SAS, Stata, SQL, R.
• Demonstrated experience using one/or more of the following research methods to conduct economic analyses with a focus on downstream sectors such as manufacturers, retailers, households, and consumers:
o Discrete choice and consumer preference modeling
o Scanner data and product label data analysis
o Cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analysis
o Econometric modeling
o Evaluation qualify, applicants of programs, policies, initiatives
• To must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
