Position Summary: Gettysburg College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Department of Economics, to begin August 2022. We are open to all fields. Applicants must show potential for strong teaching and research. We are particularly interested in candidates with an excellent record of accomplishment teaching introductory courses in Economics beyond the level of teaching assistants. Successful candidates will be expected to teach a 3-3 course load, including introductory and advanced courses.
Qualifications: The successful candidate should be committed to teaching in the liberal arts tradition and producing high quality research. A Ph.D. in Economics by the time of appointment is strongly preferred. We encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching, scholarship, or service that they will contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of our community.
