The Department of Economics (https://www.lsu.edu/business/economics/) invites applications for a full-time instructor position to begin in Fall 2023. The Department has an Energy Minor, and the successful candidate will teach courses in Energy Economics and Policy, Applied Resource Economics, and Environmental Economics in addition to other economics courses offered at the undergraduate level. In addition to teaching, the candidate will engage in program coordination, advising undergraduate students, and organizing student activities. Applicants must have a proven record of teaching excellence in economics courses, a passion for undergraduate teaching, and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. The Department has a history of welcoming and valuing long-term instructors. The expected teaching load is 4 courses per semester. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics by August 2023.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, and teaching portfolio, and arrange for two recommendation letters to be submitted. Initial interviews will be held online via Zoom. The deadline for applications is December 6, 2022, or until the position is filled.
