The Department of Business & Economics at Allegheny College invites applications for a specialist in Health Economics interested in joining a vibrant program dedicated to outstanding undergraduate education. Applicants should have an interest in teaching courses related to health economics and general classes in business and/or economics. Our faculty are active scholars and exemplary teachers, who receive strong institutional support for ongoing professional development, travel, and research. Allegheny College is dedicated to a balanced teacher-scholar model that lies at the core of Liberal Arts colleges. Our future colleague will be an active scholar-teacher whose work and professional interests demonstrate an earnest engagement with a diverse world.
All Allegheny faculty teach in the college-wide first-year/sophomore seminars and advise senior projects. The teaching load is 3/3, with course releases earned for Senior Project advising.
Qualifications: Ph.D., a promising record of scholarly engagement in the candidate’s specialty area, and college teaching experience is strongly preferred. Strong candidates will demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate education.
