IFAD is looking for a long-term Research Analyst (Consultant) in the Research and Impact Assessment Division to support IFAD’s Impact Assessment activities. The Research Analyst will provide support to the implementation of the IFAD’ Impact Assessments to fulfil corporate commitments of aggregate measurement and reporting. The approach includes a mixed-methods approach, which complements quantitative analyses based on household data with qualitative and secondary data analyses. The Research Analyst will also prepare data and perform analysis of issues related to rural transformation and agricultural productivity, among others, through descriptive and causal analysis and providing technical expertise to advance empirical knowledge to be embedded in related knowledge products.
Education: Advanced university degree (PhD preferred) in economics, agricultural economics, statistics or a closely related field with strong quantitative research
Qualifications:
• Technical expertise in applied microeconomic research and impact assessment
• Advanced knowledge of Stata or similar statistical package.
• Experience with survey programming in computer assisted personal interviews (CAPI) such as Survey Solutions or similar is strongly preferred.
• Field experience working on impact assessments, and/or managing data collection, is preferred
• Ability to work in French, Spanish, or Portuguese is desirable
