Columbia University invites applications for a Lecturer in Discipline position in the Department of Economics, beginning July 1, 2023. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for one additional year contingent on satisfactory performance. A PhD or equivalent is required, with a specialization in behavioral economics, decision neuroscience, or cognitive science of decision making. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in research, writing and teaching. In addition to teaching one course per semester in the Department of Economics and/or the Program on Cognitive Science, the lecturer will work with the Director of the Program on Cognitive Science designing courses and advising students.

We seek a scholar with a serious commitment to teaching, advising, and research. Although the position emphasizes teaching, designing courses and advising, we expect the lecturer to be research active and include students in research.
