The Department of Economics and Business at Southwestern University invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellow in Economics beginning August 2023. Our highest priority is for candidates to have a regional focus on Asian economies; the field of study is open. We will consider applicants with a research focus on Asian issues including but not limited to innovation, trade, labor, growth, environment, education, finance, health, or development. The fellowship is a full-time position: half-time teaching and half-time research. The successful candidate will teach 5 courses over two years (2-3 courses per year) including a regional course related to the candidate’s field of expertise and a global introductory course. Applicants should have earned a doctorate or terminal degree from a North American university in Economics, Business, or similar fields within the past 3 years (no earlier than Spring 2019). ABD applicants may be considered, provided that they have a scheduled completion date prior to the beginning of the fellowship year verified by their graduate advisor.
