Located in the historic community of Walla Walla, Whitman’s beautiful tree-lined campus is home to an intellectually diverse, dynamic, and supportive community of some 500 staff and faculty serving roughly 1,500 students from the local region and across the globe. The Economics Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-year position in Microeconomics at the rank of visiting assistant professor beginning August 2023. A Ph.D. is required upon starting the position. The successful candidate will offer courses in Principles of Microeconomics, and Applied Microeconomics in areas of the candidate’s specialty. There is a strong possibility of contract renewal beyond the initial year (depending on sabbatical replacement schedules), especially for a candidate with expertise in teaching statistics.

Salary Range: $64,000-$67,000
