The School of Economics (SOE) at Singapore Management University invites applications for a part-time teaching position in Health Economics, Economics and Society, Introductory Statistics, Microeconomics, and related subjects. The adjunct faculty is expected to deliver a mutually agreed number of sections of the undergraduate courses in Economics and Statistics in each academic term. Initial offer is likely to be either one or two sections per term. Applicants should email, in PDF format, (1) a curriculum vitae, (2) list of economics and statistic courses that the candidate is qualitied to teach including relevant experiences, and (3) teaching evaluations (if any), to economicscv@smu.edu.sg (Attention: Ms Cheong Pei Qi). Although we accept applications on a rolling basis, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by 15 March 2023. Expected start date is 1 August 2023 or otherwise mutually agreed. All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality and only short-listed candidates will be notified.

Applicants should have at least Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related fields, but those with a PhD degree will be strictly preferred. Experience in active and blended learning pedagogy and a track record of excellent teaching will be a plus.
