Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of International Development promotes interdisciplinary postgraduate teaching and research on processes of political, economic, and social development and change.

The appointed candidate will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through conducting and publishing outstanding quality research, engaging in high quality teaching and participating in the School and wider Departmental activities.

The Fellow’s teaching will be concentrated in the MSc in Economic Policy for International Development and will involve supervising, teaching masters’ level students through lectures, seminars, and tutorials. This is a Fellowship intended for an early-career scholar; it is expected that the fellow will dedicate a significant amount of time to their own research, writing and professional development.

Candidates should have completed, or be close to completing, a PhD from a social science discipline with strong quantitative training such as Economics, Public Policy, Political Economy or related subjects, with excellent communication and presentation skills. Having research experience in a developing country is also desirable.
