The Economics Department at Marquette University invites applications for a non-tenure tenure-track, visiting Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2023. This is a 2-year visiting position subject to satisfactory performance during year 1. Marquette is a Jesuit, Catholic, Doctoral/Research University (High Research Activity) committed to a teacher-scholar model and seeks candidates who will contribute to its mission (http://marquette.edu/about/mission.shtml) and are dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate must have demonstrated quality experience in teaching introductory and/or intermediate economics (preferably both micro and macro); PhD in Economics is preferred but those with Master’s and strong record of teaching will be considered. Preference may be given to those who have quality experience at the graduate level (i.e., MBA Economics courses) and/or teaching mathematical economics. Applicants should state their interest and qualifications for teaching courses in their areas of instructional expertise. Academic year teaching load for this position is 4/4.
