Overview:

St. John Fisher University is seeking nominations and applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics position. Applicants must submit a complete application consisting of a cover letter, curriculum vitae (including professional references), and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and be available to start teaching by September 2023. Job Responsibilities:

Teaching duties may include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Introductory Statistics, and/or a general education class that introduces basic concepts in data analysis. The possibility of a field class of mutual interest is a possibility but not guaranteed. The teaching load is four courses per semester and will be in person.

Specifically, the candidate must provide:

Effective and Engaged teaching
Fair and accurate assessment
Student-oriented assistance through regular office hours
Timely and accurate recording of grade information

Education/Experience

The requirement for the position is a Ph.D. in economics or closely related field, though candidates who are ABD will be considered.
