Data for Decisions is a boutique consulting firm that designs, conducts, and delivers economic and statistical analyses and related advice to leading law firms, Fortune 500 companies, not-for-profit organizations, and government agencies.

The Labor Economist will play a central role in the Labor & Employment Practice team, participating in the design, conduct, and communication of complex economic analyses using labor economics theory and state-of-the-art methodologies. The career path can involve developing into a Senior Labor Economist and a Testifying Expert, if desired.

This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Duties include:
Keeping abreast of trends and advances in labor and employment economics and law.
Managing and reviewing documents received from clients.
Managing data received from clients.
Building analytical datasets from client data.
Planning, conducting, and supervising econometric analyses using Stata, etc.
Preparing written descriptions and visual presentations of analyses and results.
Managing client relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Economics with significant emphasis on econometrics and microeconomic theory; field concentration in Labor Economics preferred.
Proficiency in Stata and other standard statistical software packages.
Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work 2-3 days/week in the office in Waltham, Massachusetts.
