Title: Deputy Commissioner

Under the general direction of the Executive Deputy Commissioner, the incumbent will direct the activities of the Office of Tax Policy Analysis. Duties include but not limited to:

• Managing the day-to-day activities of the Office of Tax Policy Analysis. Planning and directing the development of voluntary tax compliance publications and documents, developing and publishing financial reports and tax statistics, and developing revenue forecasts, fiscal impact statements and economic and tax policy analysis.

• Developing policies, procedures, and priorities for the Office of Tax Policy Analysis. Ensuring adherence to and consistent application of policies and procedures within and across Bureaus.

• Developing policy statements for the Commissioner that evaluate the State’s fiscal plan and the implication of changes in the tax structure.

• May represent the Commissioner and Executive Deputy Commissioner on work groups and task forces and in meetings with representative of business, industry, and legislators regarding taxation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and ten years of relevant experience.

Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: $158,124 to $179,500
