Two postdoctoral fellowships are available with Prof. Abigail Friedman at the Yale School of Public Health, to work on several projects investigating the policy determinants of tobacco/nicotine and cannabis use.
Successful candidates will be proficient in Stata with strong econometric skills, and experience executing difference-in-differences analyses using newer methods that address concerns about bias from heterogeneous and/or dynamic treatment effects. Attention to detail plus the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger, multidisciplinary team are critical for this role. Responsibilities will include data preparation, execution of quasi-experimental analyses under Prof. Friedman's guidance, preparing tables and figures for presentation/manuscripts, and contribution to manuscripts at a level consistent with co-authorship.
Applicants must have a doctorate from an accredited institution in a relevant field; e.g., economics, health policy, public policy, etc. (Expected completion by 1/1/2024 is acceptable.)
