College of the Atlantic invites applications for a faculty member in economics, to start Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be the only faculty member in economics at COA. We seek a colleague actively interested in teaching, working, and collaboration across disciplinary boundaries. The COA faculty is unranked and we welcome candidates at any stage in their career. Junior scholars are particularly encouraged to apply.

We seek an energetic, innovative teacher, broadly trained in economics and interested in actively engaging a wide range of undergraduate students, both those who include economics as a point of emphasis in their self-designed curriculum and those whose primary interests lie elsewhere. We are particularly interested in colleagues who are familiar with and engage with heterodox approaches.

COA is a highly interdisciplinary, nondepartmental college of around 350 students and 35 faculty. COA is committed to increasing diversity, fostering inclusion, and achieving equity in all aspects of its work. We seek candidates who can demonstrate how their teaching, service, and research would contribute to making the college more inclusive, equitable, and diverse.
