Position Summary: The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics invites applications for a 9-month tenured or tenure-track position of Assistant or Associate Professor with a 60% research and 40% teaching appointment. We seek an applicant who will develop a distinguished program of research and teaching in labor economics, environmental economics, agricultural economics, or applied microeconomics, including but not limited to research in the economics of climate change, food and nutrition, food system organization, consumer economics, education, community development or related topics. The appointee is expected to develop an exemplary research program that serves the public interest at the state, national, or international level, and teach in the Department’s instructional programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, typically two courses per year. The position is a nine-month, tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of assistant or associate professor, with rank and salary commensurate with the candidate’s record.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess a doctorate in economics, or an equivalent field. Candidates at the associate professor must have a record of research with a demonstrable contribution to scientific knowledge and a record of excellence in teaching.
