Full Text of JOE Listing:
Oregon State University is hiring a tenure track assistant professor in Food Systems Economics with emphasis on the growth, sustainability and market structure of state, regional, and national food systems. Possible research areas include supply chain management, food product innovation, food prices, agricultural production, market structure, marketing, food quality, consumer demand, or food safety. Interdisciplinary and collaborative work are highly desirable, as is fundraising potential to support this work.
Position responsibilities include teaching at least three 10-week quarter classes per year in the undergraduate and/or graduate programs of the Department of Applied Economics. Undergraduate courses will serve department programs, such as the Agricultural and Food Business Management major. Graduate courses may include microeconomic theory, applied econometrics, and/or field courses consistent with the person’s expertise and the needs of the department.
