Position Description
The Georgetown University Department of Economics aims to hire a full time, non-tenure line Assistant Teaching Professor in the area of Microeconomics, Applied Microeconomics and Empirical Methods for a three year renewable contract to begin August 1, 2024. A successful candidate would be expected to fill undergraduate teaching needs and contribute to the intellectual life of the Department. Members of the non tenure-line faculty in the Department of Economics normally teach five courses per academic year, including at least three department core courses. In addition, non-tenure line faculty members are expected to perform other service duties, which may include participation in undergraduate curricular discussions, advising and helping students at all levels. Research activity and attendance at seminars would be a plus.

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Economics is required prior to appointment start date. Candidates must show strong promise of excellence in teaching as well as research. Prior work in applied microeconomics and empirical methods (in particular big data) is a plus.
