Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is seeking to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in economics or public policy to develop an innovative, highly recognized program of scholarly research and public outreach in applied microeconomics with a preference for health economics and/or other policy relevant to Alaska. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a highly visible research program, including the acquisition of external funding, with a focus on economic and policy issues relevant to Alaska. The successful candidate is expected to disseminate their research through peer-reviewed journals and ISER's research publications, and communicate the policy implications of their research to leaders in healthcare, policy makers, journalists, and the public. ISER faculty have research-heavy workloads and typically teach up to one class per semester.
