Position Description: We seek a qualified candidate to serve as a Postdoctoral Researcher for a total of 2-3 years. The successful candidate will focus on measuring ecosystem service benefits related to water management projects (dams, reservoirs, wetland mitigation projects, levees, canals, flood control, beach nourishment, etc.) and calculating appropriate benefit transfers to existing and proposed projects in the U.S. There may be additional opportunities to participate in research projects related to oyster reef restoration in the Gulf Coast. This position will work directly with Drs. Maik Kecinski, Martin Heintzelman, and Kent Messer. The position offers a competitive salary and an attractive benefit package.

Qualifications: Applicants should have strong training and experience in environmental and/or resource economics, especially in the measurement of ecosystem service benefits and the transfer of benefit measurements to other projects and locations. A background knowledge of stated and revealed preference elicitations and econometrics will be helpful. A PhD in economics or applied economics (or closely related field) is required. Strong writing and communication skills are critical. Experience with programming, especially web-based applications, is welcomed, but not necessary.
