The Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) within the University of Notre Dame’s Department of Economics seeks a post-doctoral research associate focused on the intersection of criminal justice and poverty. The ideal candidate would have evidence of excellence in research in the field of economics, or a closely-related discipline, with some experience in the design, execution, or analysis of randomized controlled trials. The successful candidate will develop a portfolio of LEO-related research projects. There are no teaching responsibilities.
Post-docs are ordinarily appointed for one-year, but we expect funding for renewal up to 3 years. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or expect to complete a Ph.D. by July 1, 2024. This position is eligible for J-1 but not H-1B visa sponsorship. All applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, one or more research papers, and three letters of recommendation.
