We invite applications for an 11-month, tenure-track faculty position in agricultural economics, with 50% extension and 50% research responsibilities in the area of policy analysis to support equitable, sustainable, and resilient food systems, natural resources, and rural communities. This position is designed to provide critical, state-wide policy analysis support related to sustainable agriculture production that increases economic prosperity and local food production for the state, including, for example, analysis of the market for climate smart products, circular economy potential, and conservation finance opportunities.

We seek candidates with excellent agricultural economics skills who have experience applying these skills in coupled agricultural-rural human-natural systems such as Hawai‘i, and who have strong potential to develop an effective, integrated extension and research program in policy analysis to support sustainable, equitable, and resilient agricultural production and rural communities.
