The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) is recruiting for a Researcher/Economist. The successful candidate is expected to design, prepare, contribute to research projects, studies/reports on a wide-range of socio-economic developmental issues of interest to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries. The candidate is also expected to coordinate and support joint projects executed with national/international partners, and attend relevant national/international conferences/meetings. Knowledge and experience of both qualitative and quantitative socio-economic research methods and familiarity with interdisciplinary research methodologies and conceptual frameworks are desirable.

Strong presentation skills are required along with excellent analytical, quantitative, and written skills. Previous work experience at intergovernmental organizations would be an asset. Proficiency in English is a must, proficiency in Arabic and/or French would be desirable. PhD degree in economics as well as multidisciplinary education background combining social, economic and/or political areas would be an advantage.

Candidates must be a citizen of an OIC Member State.
