The Faculty of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in Economic History to begin in the spring/fall of 2025 (or a later date).
Located in central Tokyo, we are part of a leading research university in Japan offering English-based degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Courses to teach:
Courses related to global economic history and seminars for both the undergraduate school and the graduate school (Master’s and Doctoral Programs) and other related courses.

Qualifications:
(1)Must have research achievements in the field of Global Economic History.
(2)Must have a deep understanding and be knowledgeable of Economic History including Global Economic History and be motivated to engage in joint research with researchers of Economic History and other fields internationally.
(3)Must be able to teach the above courses in both Japanese and English.
(4)Must have a Ph.D. degree or expect to obtain it by the time of appointment.
(5)Teaching experience in relevant courses at university level is desirable.
