Non-Tenure-Track Lecturer in Economics

The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer or Senior Lecturer for Academic Year 2026-27. Candidates should have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate, liberal arts education. Ph.D. in Economics or related field required.

We seek an experienced instructor capable of teaching a broad range of undergraduate courses, including principles, intermediate theory, and upper-level electives. While applicants at all career stages are welcome, appointment at the Senior Lecturer level is possible for those with substantial teaching experience and demonstrated effectiveness. Teaching experience outside UVM will be considered in appointment and promotion decisions.

The position is renewable, with an anticipated start date of August 17, 2026.
