Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Macroeconomics
The Department of Economics at the University of Vermont invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in macroeconomics, to begin in Fall 2026. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics (or a closely related field) in hand by the time of appointment.
We welcome applicants with expertise in any area of macroeconomics: Financial, International, Macroeconomic growth, Development, Monetary
Teaching responsibilities include Principles, Macroeconomic Theory, upper-level electives in the candidate’s areas of specialization such as Financial markets and institutions, Financial economics/econometrics, Economic forecasting and big data, Advanced time-series analysis, International finance, and supervision of the department’s Fed Challenge Team.
Candidates whose teaching and research interests align with or complement existing research centers our units at UVM such as the Vermont Complex Systems Center, Vermont Advanced Computing Center and Center for Research on Vermont, Grossman School of Business, are especially encouraged to apply.
