The Department of Finance and Economics in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position, specializing in health economics, environmental economics, behavioral economics, or applied econometrics, to begin in Fall 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach both graduate and undergraduate economics courses at our San Marcos and Round Rock campuses, publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession. Candidates must have an interest in applying innovative and rigorous analytical approaches to interesting real-world problems in economics.
Located in San Marcos, Texas—between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of the Texas Innovation Corridor—Texas State University is a vibrant, nationally recognized research university serving more than 40,000 students in over 200 degree programs.
