Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics
The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, at the University of California, Davis announces an Assistant Professor faculty position (9-month) with a focus on financial and agricultural commodity market economics.
Teaching responsibilities include courses in the undergraduate joint business major and the managerial economics major in finance, derivatives, and commodity markets (ARE 138, 139, 171, 172, 173), as well as the M.S. and Ph.D. programs. The successful applicant will also be expected to conduct research in financial and agricultural commodity market economics. Research foci could include (but are not limited to) work on the interdependence of physical and financial agricultural commodity markets; risk analysis of commodity derivatives; financialization of agricultural commodity markets; and global and regional trade of agricultural commodities. Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. by the beginning of the appointment and demonstrate promise of distinction in scholarship and teaching.
This is an academic year (9-month), Assistant Professor tenure-track position with teaching and mentoring, research, outreach/engagement and service responsibilities.
