The Center for Economic Studies at El Colegio de México has a tenure-track opening at the Assistant Professor level starting August 2026. We seek candidates specializing in macroeconomics. Candidates with research interests in other fields of economics may also be considered at the discretion of the hiring committee.

Applicants are expected to possess a doctoral degree in economics or be in the final process of completion. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both research and teaching. The expected teaching load is two courses per year. Candidates must be willing to teach and work using Spanish in the midterm.

Applicants should submit a CV, a job market paper, and three recommendation letters. Additionally, applicants must submit a cover letter of at least two pages explaining why they are interested in living in Mexico City and working at El Colegio de México.
