Graduate School of Economics at the University of Tokyo invites applications for a Project Assistant Professor position in empirical microeconomics beginning in the summer of 2026 with funding from the JST ERATO project on market design: https://www.jst.go.jp/erato/kojima/en/index.html.

In addition to conducting their own research, the successful candidate is expected to work on project management and other tasks related to the ERATO project. The position is a fixed-term position until March 2029.

Given that the position involves administrative duties in the Japanese language, a high proficiency in Japanese is required for the position. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in economics at the time of their appointment.
