St. John Fisher University seeks to fill a tenure track position in economics at the level of assistant professor. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate courses in both economics and data analytics. Teaching duties may include some combination of Principles courses, classes in statistics or data analytics, and general college core classes. Familiarity with coding in R and Python and an interest in machine learning is a plus. The opportunity to teach field courses in econ or data analytics will develop according to the candidate’s areas of specialty. The teaching load is three courses per semester and will be in person. Commitment to excellent teaching, scholarship, and service is required for eventual promotion and tenure. The requirement for the position is a Ph.D. in economics or closely related field, though candidates who are ABD will be considered. The position will begin in August 2026.
