We invite applications for up to two postdoc positions at the University of British Columbia (UBC). The positions are located in the Food and Resource Economics Group and will be supervised by Frederik Noack and Jonathan Proctor. The positions focus on 1) decentralization of resource management and conservation, and 2) climate change impacts and the use of satellite imagery in causal inference. The quality of the application will be prioritized over topical fit.

Funding
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is for two years with the possibility of extension.

Research responsibilities
The postdoctoral scholar will collaborate with the supervisors to develop and pursue new research ideas. Approximately 70% of their time will be dedicated to the primary projects, with the remainder available for complementary research activities.

Qualifications
- Degree in economics, data science, computer science, or related fields.
- Good data skills, including econometrics and/or geospatial analysis.
- Proficiency in R or another relevant programming language.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
