The Department of Economics and Business at the City College of New York’s Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership invites applications for TWO Lecturers in Finance beginning Fall 2026. This teaching-focused position supports the department’s new BBA program and seeks experienced educators capable of teaching a wide range of finance and accounting courses — such as introductory finance, accounting, corporate finance, financial analysis, and economics of investments — at both introductory and intermediate levels. Candidates with expertise in specialized areas like Data Analytics or related fields are also encouraged to apply.

Lecturers at CCNY are “master teachers,” with primary responsibilities in teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and student mentoring, alongside service duties and no research expectations. They play a full role in departmental, college, and university governance and contribute significantly to enhancing teaching and learning. Service includes participation in committees and educational initiatives. After five years, lecturers may be promoted to a Certificate of Continuous Employment—comparable to tenure—based on a record of outstanding teaching and dedicated service.
