The School of Public Finance & Taxation at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks. Strong candidates in fields related to public finance and taxation are encouraged to apply, including applied economics, theoretical economics, public administration, public economics and public policy, accounting, financial research and auditing, quantitative economics, management and application of big data, statistics. Successful candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research and teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.
Junior (Assistant Professor) applicants must show potential for engaging in outstanding research and developing excellence in teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses. They must have received the PhD degree in a related field by the time of appointment. Senior (Associate/Full Professors) applicants must have an established record of outstanding research and teaching. They should also demonstrate a strong record of supervising doctoral students and excellence in teaching both graduate- and undergraduate-level courses. Besides, a proven record of leadership or clear potential for leadership in research programs is also required.
DUFE is a multi-disciplinary teaching and research university founded in 1952 in Dalian, China, with specialties in the fields of finance, economics, and management. The School of Public Finance & Taxation was established in 1996 after merging the departments of public finance and taxation. It is one of the earliest schools of DUFE. Its faculty combines high-profile overseas experts and active junior scholars and has developed profound research in the fields of public finance and taxation. Applied economics in DUFE, the discipline that the School of Public Finance & Taxation belongs to, has been ranked A (top 5% in) in the fourth round of the Discipline Assessment in China.
