Co-Impact Grant: Call for Proposals
As part of a large grant awarded to the American Economic Association from Co-Impact, CPC and CSWEP invite proposals from the Association’s members aimed at improving the climate in the economics profession by fostering a more inclusive environment. Proposals can be submitted by individuals, departments, or committees. The economics profession encompasses economists working in academia, the private sector, non-profits and government and includes students as well as those with advanced degrees. Proposals should focus on efforts that will result in significant and measurable institutional change toward a more inclusive environment. This work could include (but is by no means limited to) changes in institution policies, establishing codes of conduct, improving compensation and incentive mechanisms, capacity building, developing curriculum or creating structured mentor-mentee programs.
Priority will be given to proposals that will generate institutional change along the following dimensions:
- Improvements in formal frameworks, rules and policies
- Measurable changes in human resources (e.g., number, placement, capacity)
- Create incentives and accountability mechanisms
- Create opportunities for networking and visibility
- Improve the design, quality, and reach of programs
- Generate measurable outcomes
- Policies to influence informal (social) norms and mental models
- Changes that enhance the participation of women and other less represented groups in the economics profession
Proposal guidelines:
- One page of text and no more than one page of a budget summary
- Expenditures up to $20,000.
- Proposal is due by February 27, 2026
- Expenditures must be completed by August 31, 2026.
Submit your proposal to cpc@aeapubs.org.
