The Yale Graduate School is offering post-baccalaureate students wishing to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics fellowships as part of its Emerging Scholars Initiative (ESI). The ESI Program is open to recent college graduates interested in a Ph.D. and will span over a two-year period.
The specific objectives of the ESI-PREP program are:
1. To experience life as a graduate student at a major research university, taking courses, doing research and receiving mentoring alongside first year Ph.D. students.
2. To study an educational curriculum that consists of research courses and seminars.
All are welcome to apply, however, candidates must be US citizens or US permanent residents. Recent graduates who are from backgrounds that have been underrepresented in their chosen fields of study, including, historically underrepresented minority students, first-generation college graduates, students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, or women in some STEM fields, are strongly encouraged to apply.
