The Department of Economics at the University of Memphis invites applications for a Health Economist at either the advanced Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (tenured) level, effective fall semester 2022, pending available funding. We will consider applicants whose research crosses into other areas of economics, such as public economics, but health economics should be the applicant’s primary field. An excellent record of scholarly publications beyond the Ph.D. is strongly desired.

Responsibilities include effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting and publishing quality research, participating in activities of the Department, advising graduate students, fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities, and serving as the Director of the Memphis Center for Healthcare Economics.
